Emergency Department Director

Responsibilities:

• The Emergency Department Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Emergency Department to ensure quality patient care and services.
• Assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for staffing, management, patient care, and service operation, serving as a role model for excellence in patient care.
• Works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and other healthcare professionals.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and systems.
• Manages the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage.
• Assists with assessing patient care needs, developing plans, and monitoring progress.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
• Assists in budget development and management.
• Develops and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required. TNCC preferred.
• At least 5 years of emergency department experience strongly preferred.
• Supervisor management experience required
