What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Department Director position at Breckinridge Health Inc?
Responsibilities:
- The Emergency Department Director is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Emergency Department to ensure quality patient care and services.
- Assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for staffing, management, patient care, and service operation, serving as a role model for excellence in patient care.
- Works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and other healthcare professionals.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manages the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage.
- Assists with assessing patient care needs, developing plans, and monitoring progress.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
- Assists in budget development and management.
- Develops and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required. TNCC preferred.
- At least 5 years of emergency department experience strongly preferred.
- Supervisor management experience required
