Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Richmond, VA for a Senior Estimator at Breeden Construction. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process, developing project budgets, analyzing costs, and working closely with the construction team to ensure accurate project pricing.
Qualifications
- Experience in conceptual estimating and design
- Proficiency in value engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years' experience as an estimator in the construction industry with projects ranging from $20mm to $100mm in value.
- Team-focused mentality to solving problems and estimating projects.
- Exceptional computer skills in Excel and Microsoft Project, good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and other industry related project management and scheduling software.
- Solid understanding of estimating tools & approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and the flexibility to lead diverse and dynamic teams to successfully deliver projects.
