Assists customers with questions, claims and existing policies; Works with Personal Lines Account Manager to handle customer service for new and existing clients
Essential Job Duties
Answers the telephone in a timely and professional manner; returns calls within one business day
Accepts, directly from customers and the front desk, endorsement changes to policies; processes all changes promptly, recording in agency management system
Accurately processes insurance forms daily (includes DL123, FS1s, letters for inspections, letters for cessations, quotes for physical damage replacement, ID cards)
Other Job Functions:
Reports loss information to appropriate insurance carrier the same day received; forwards summons, suits and other legal notices to proper personnel within the company; provides assistance in claims resolution
Records information, obtains quotes, selects carrier and writes new business if Personal Lines Manager is not available
Consults with manager to determine if non-standard policies can be written in standard program;
Delivers renewals and/or binders for designated accounts within 5 days of receipt
Balances and prepares check listing on deposits for bank (if on balancing team)
Issues policies for new and renewal clients
Barcodes and scans personal lines documents
Processes daily incoming mail
Refers/cross sells to clients/maintains existing/id and help resolve customer complaints/concerns
Actively solicits increases in limits and/or coverages or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contact
Documents all conversations with insured and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverage
Utilizes Epic to document emails and other communication
Checks voicemail; returns all calls within same business day
Reviews suspense and open activities
Sets up new clients in Epic
Maintains working knowledge of all company change procedures
Maintains working knowledge of all rating products and assists Account Manager as needed
Assists with morning opening and evening closing of office
Processes paperwork assigned on same day requested
Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience
Minimum of one-year of experience in fast-paced, customer-driven insurance environment
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Other Skills and Qualifications:
Property and Casualty Insurance License
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills
Self-motivated
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Applied Epic system is preferred
Current insurance designations a plus
