What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Graphic Designer position at Breeze Canna?
We’re looking for a boundary-pushing Sr. Graphic Designer to bring bold ideas and brand storytelling to life across digital, print, packaging, and experiential platforms. In this role, you’ll create assets that define how the world experiences our cannabis brand—from compliant packaging systems and product launches to social campaigns, retail displays, and merchandise.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and leadership teams to translate strategic direction into execution-ready visuals that stand out in a competitive, regulated industry. The ideal candidate brings a high level of technical design ability, packaging experience, and cross-platform versatility, combined with an understanding of brand consistency and cannabis compliance.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for a seasoned designer ready to lead creative execution and contribute to the evolving foundation of a growing cannabis brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-impact assets for campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives across digital, print, packaging, and merchandise.
- Translate strategic messaging into visual storytelling for social content, promotional launches, and branded activations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure visuals align with broader marketing and customer engagement goals.
- Design compliant, on-brand packaging for multiple SKUs, applying dielines, labeling systems, and formatting best practices for cannabis.
- Produce print-ready collateral including shelf talkers, pull-down banners, brochures, menus, and signage for retail and events.
- Create and format internal-facing documents and presentations (e.g., Google Slides, PDFs) to support team communication and brand alignment.
- Develop creative assets for web, email, and social platforms, tailored to platform-specific formats and cannabis marketing limitations.
- Contribute to short-form video, motion graphics, or animated elements that enhance brand storytelling and engagement.
- Prep production-ready files for print, packaging, and digital use with accuracy, consistency, and attention to compliance.
- Liaise with vendors on specs, timelines, and quality control to ensure seamless execution.
- Apply cannabis industry knowledge to ensure all design work meets state-by-state legal and packaging standards.
- Participate in creative planning and feedback sessions, offering proactive, strategic design input.
- Maintain organized file systems, asset libraries, and version tracking to support scalable design processes.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing to ensure assets meet creative and operational goals.
- 5–7 years of professional design experience, ideally within cannabis, CPG, lifestyle, or other regulated markets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead creative execution across brand, packaging, print, and digital deliverables.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom is a plus.
- Strong grasp of typography, layout design, packaging formats, and print production.
- Proven experience delivering compliant cannabis packaging and marketing assets across multiple product formats.
- Clear understanding of cannabis regulatory standards and how they impact design decisions.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple deadlines with accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when aligning design with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience mentoring or overseeing junior designers, freelancers, or creative vendors.

- Motion graphics and video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Photography/videography direction or editing
- 3D mockups or modeling (Blender, Dimension, CAD)
- Collaborative design tools (Figma, Canva)
- Copywriting, proofing, or brand tone alignment
- Web design experience (WordPress or equivalent)
- Experience building or evolving scalable brand systems and visual guidelines
- Familiarity with web design platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Webflow) for asset updates and visual consistency.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about elevating cannabis branding.
- Collaborative, feedback-driven, and committed to delivering clean, effective design under pressure.
- Trend-aware but brand-driven—able to distinguish when to lean into or against trends.
- Self-starting and reliable, with a strong sense of design ownership and creative execution.
