What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality position at Brek Manufacturing?
- Recruit, train directly, or provide opportunity for training to all employees in the Quality department and does so commensurate with the specific need of the employee and the goals and objectives of the Company.
- Plan, define and develop quality goals in accordance with the Company’s objectives and direct the formulation, communication and delegation of those objectives into meaningful task-oriented action plans.
- Teach, train and direct all manufacturing employees in improved quality methods to increase production and efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop, manage and maintain the company’s Quality Manual and quality management system in accordance with AS9100 .
- Act as quality representative to participate in third party and customer on-site audits and process certifications.
- Develop and maintain an internal audit program in accordance with customer and industry standards.
- Audit outside suppliers and retain only qualified suppliers that meet the Company’s quality operating systems requirements.
- Monitor, participate, and lead in Material Review Board (MRB) activities with respect to the disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Initiate a corrective action system required to prevent recurrence of material defects.
- Maintain customer complaint and return data and initiate policies, procedures and systems to prevent recurrences.
- Oversee established calibration system and testing program.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessitated by change or condition.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
Experience/training/education:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management.
- BS degree in a Quality, Engineering and/or technical discipline preferred.
- Practical experience in precision inspection and working knowledge of GD&T principles.
Knowledge:
- Experience and knowledgeable in Aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of military and government specifications.
- Prior experience with Aerospace primes (Boeing, Northrop, Sikorsky, SpaceX, etc.) preferred.
Abilities:
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule and coordinate Quality activity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy in Windows environment.
- Proven team player and leader.
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
