What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Asset Management Analyst position at Brembo North America?
The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of IT assets within the organization. This includes procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement of all assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asset management and budget management principles.
This role entails maintaining/improving processes, policies and standards that help the organization to effectively manage both on a daily basis and long-term its IT asset portfolio with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives and IT Governance as established by the company. Maintaining databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, software, leases and warranties for all software and hardware will be required.
Responsibilities
Asset Tagging and Tracking:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all assets and services (device/service details, serial numbers, assigned users, locations, etc.).
- Manage asset tagging system to physically identify and track physical assets.
- Utilize Service Now to maintain accurate records of asset assignments, deployments, and maintenance of asset history.
- Manage warranties for equipment as well as service contracts and licensing for non-tangible assets and services.
Packaging and Shipment:
- Develop standardized packaging procedures for new and repaired assets to ensure safe transportation.
- Coordinate and manage the shipment of assets to users, including the selection of appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and deliveries.
Delivery and Collection:
- Oversee the delivery of assets to end-users, ensuring proper setup and configuration.
- Manage the collection of assets from users who are leaving the organization or no longer require the device.
- Ensure data security during the collection process, including data wiping and device reset.
Disposition:
- Develop and implement procedures for the responsible disposal of retired assets, including data sanitization and environmentally friendly recycling or resale.
- Maintain records of all disposed assets.
Ordering and Procurement:
- Forecast asset needs based on user demand and organizational growth.
- Manage the procurement process for new assets, including vendor selection, price negotiation, and order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders and invoices.
Maintenance and Support:
- Collaborate with the IT Service Desk team to troubleshoot and resolve asset-related issues.
- Manage the repair and maintenance of assets, including coordinating with vendors and tracking repair status.
- Ensure assets are updated with the latest software and security patches
Software and Security:
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices for mobile device management.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on asset inventory, usage, and maintenance.
- Analyze asset data to identify trends, optimize asset utilization, and inform procurement decisions.
- Cost management to meet/beat budget targets
Background, Experience and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as two or more years’ experience working with hardware leasing.
- Three years or more ITSM tool experience, as well as ServiceNow experience
- Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
- Knowledge of licensing agreements involving software
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of IT Service Management processes
- Possess Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration, or in other related field
- Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
- Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
