General/Driver’s License Clerk
Bremer County Treasurer’s Office seeks a qualified applicant for a General Clerk. Applicant must possess excellent customer relation skills under stressful and interruptive situations; give attention to detail; be able to transition between tasks; be an effective communicator; and be motivated to learn and adapt to required functions of the position. Applicant must be committed to providing quality customer service by working and communicating with customers and co-workers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Must be detail oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and work independently.
Applicant must be able to learn and retain the numerous laws, regulations, and special procedures involved in processing property tax payments, motor vehicle titles, registrations, and various official documents in an accurate and timely manner. Have the ability to collect the appropriate fees; process confidential information with tact and discretion; and acquire a working knowledge of driver’s license and commercial driver’s license issuance.
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; proficiency in Windows based applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel; data entry; and operating office equipment; Must have experience with cash handling and balancing cash drawers.
Enhanced skills desired, but not required, include advanced work experience or education in accounting including accounts receivable and general ledger.
Some intermittent heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
37.5 hour work week 10.5 paid holidays annually
