What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Bremtown Cabinetry?
ROLE:
The Bremtown Production Supervisor will lead the Production Teams (Doors, Specials, Drawer Boxes, Face Frames, Cabinet Assembly and Finish Teams) to ensure a consistent high level of performance that adds value to our customers by delivering on-time, complete, defect and damage FREE product every day. This position will provide employee and production team leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, process reliability and reducing operating costs. This challenging and rewarding position requires a person who has demonstrated successfully leading people, solving problems and improving processes.
RESPONSIBILITY:

- Set clear expectations for the team overall and each individual team member

- Work with the COO to solve problems at the source
- Work with team leads to gather information, track progress, and escalate issues
- Ensure equipment is maintained
- Execute the Daily Production Schedule
- Lead and manage Team Leaders to help them prepare, plan and execute daily work
- Adjust team member assignments and priority as needed to meet production schedule
- Lead problem solving and work closely with Purchasing Manager and suppliers as needed
- Identify and communicate production needs to COO and other team leaders
- Be Able to Read Prints/Instructions on Various Products
- Be Able to Inspect Items to Specifications
- Continuously Improve the Team
- Train team members and encourage teamwork and cross training
- Identify, communicate and implement ways to improve process and eliminate waste
- Effectively communicate process changes, new standards and new expectations
- Handle and communicate disciplinary actions clearly and professionally
- Encourage each team member to communicate defects at the source, work together, and have fun
