PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS: Brenau University will conduct criminal background checks on all persons being considered for initial employment. In some circumstances, an FBI fingerprint report may be necessary to satisfy the requirement. Once employed, employees must hold and continue to maintain a favorable criminal history background. Random background checks are performed. Credit checks may be performed on candidates/employees who are selected for a position that regularly engages in handling credit cards or other company monies. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) may be performed during the hiring process, or as part of a random check. MVR checks are required to meet insurance requirements for those employees operating a university vehicle or participating in any driving activity on behalf of Brenau University, (including operating a golf cart, rented vehicle or one’s personal vehicle). Employees who travel must be at least 25 years of age, have a valid Georgia driver’s license, and good driving record. All employees who operate university vehicles, who are employed in a sensitive position, or who travel regularly as part of their job responsibilities may be subject to post-hire drug screening and random drug-screening. All employees are subject to reasonable suspicion drug screening.

Brenau's Psychology Department is seeking graduate teaching assistants.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of a direct supervising faculty member, teach or assist in teaching a course and/or lab.
- Work with direct supervisor to develop, update, or modify course syllabus.
- Complete training with direct supervisor to prepare for teaching the course/lab.
- Throughout the semester, keep up with materials and grading of assignments along with other teaching-related tasks assigned by direct supervisor.
- Meet regularly with direct supervisor for ongoing supervision and complete ongoing training as assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in periodic evaluations by supervisor and make adjustments as needed.
- Other teaching-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the Master's Program in Clinical Counseling Psychology at Brenau.
- Must have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours in the Master's Program in Clinical Counseling Psychology at Brenau.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Normal environment found in an office and/or educational setting. Some exposure to outdoors and varying weather conditions may be required.
Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
Some lifting and or carrying objects weighing 10lbs may be required. This position requires repetitive usage of arms, legs, eyes to include sitting to a significant degree.
Work Hours:
Hours are to meet the needs of the department.
Background Check:
This position requires that you hold and continue to maintain a clean criminal history background.
