Financial Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Fast paced rapidly scaling business advisory firm performing M&A Transaction and Valuation Services, seeking enthusiastic, creative, goal-oriented individual for a FINANCIAL ANAYLST role.

Full-time position with highly competitive salary and benefits package, located in Traverse City, Michigan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for complex financial modeling in Excel.
• Provide analysis for purposes of buy/sell side projects, valuation projects, and due diligence.
• Prepare company and industry research, forecasts, and analysis of industry and general economic trends.
• Research potential buyers for sell-side engagements and conducts outreach.
• Identify trends and analyze competitive environments to evaluate growth opportunities.
• Write reports for valuation and confidential information memorandums.
• Assist in supporting significant company growth initiatives.
• Work is both independent and collaborative in nature.
• Work performed in a highly effective team environment that is transparent, goal driven, and accountable with lots of flexibility and room for exercising creativity.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration required.
• One to three years’ recent, related experience in business analysis, valuations, transactional work.
• Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) or Accredited Business Valuator (ABV) attained or demonstrated commitment to achieve upon entering position.
• High proficiency in technical writing skills and communication skills.
• Demonstrates excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility in work schedule and hours as project timing demands.
• Ability to work in transparent and goal driven environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
