Medical Assistant
Brengle Family Medicine is excited to announce we are currently hiring a Medical Assistant! We are looking for an energetic and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a high energy position that requires strong hands-on medical skills, excellent communication skills, and experienced medical knowledge. We offer a personalized environment of care, where the patient truly comes first.
Schedule:
Monday - Wednesday 8:30 - 5:00. No weekends.
Duties:
- Assisting the physician and Nurse Practitioner with patient care, including taking vital signs, monitoring patient vital signs, preparing and administering treatment, assisting in diagnosis and treatment planning, and providing treatment instructions.
- Assisting the physician in the provision of clinical care: diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Assisting with patient education and management of the doctor-patient relationship.
- Performing administrative duties as required.
- Communicating with patients and their family members through phone, email, and in person.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant, equivalent or greater required.
- At least one year experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical writing required.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to deal effectively with a variety of personalities. Providing excellent customer service is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population regarding medical information and maintain close working relationships with colleagues and coworkers.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Knowledgeable in EHR systems preferred but not required.
- Pay commiserate with experience.
