We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in Southampton, PA. The ideal candidate will install, diagnose, and start up testing of custom industrial systems for prominent clients in the Automotive and HVAC sectors.
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for commissioning, installing, and troubleshooting new OEM industrial equipment. You will work with PC and PLC controls, with a focus on Allen-Bradley systems, to ensure effective equipment functionality. Additionally, you will collaborate in site start-up and commissioning activities, execute repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment, and maintain accurate records of equipment configurations, changes, and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, install and troubleshoot new OEM industrial equipment
- Conduct electrical wiring, including assembling and wiring control components and devices as per schematics
- Work with PC and PLC controls, with a focus on Allen-Bradley systems, to ensure effective equipment functionality
- Collaborate in site start-up and commissioning activities, guaranteeing optimal equipment performance
- Maintain accurate records of equipment configurations, changes, and issues for future reference and analysis
Requirements:
- 5 years in troubleshooting new industrial equipment
- Must have worked for a customer equipment manufacturer
- Electrical wiring skills, including the ability to assemble and wire control components and devices according to schematics
- Strong Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting ability
- Experience in onsite start-up, commissioning activities, performing repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites nationwide (approximately 25-30% of the year)
