Our client, a growing, dynamic leader in designing and manufacturing custom industrial machinery/equipment, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support their Sterilization Division with ongoing custom design engineering projects.
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be integral to the design and execution of engineered solutions for complex projects with timelines typically spanning 1 to 2 years. These projects include ASME pressure vessels, process equipment skids, and conveyance systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine mechanical designs, ensuring that all project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
The successful applicant will have:Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).Strong knowledge of typical manufacturing methods, including welding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.Familiarity with mechanical engineering standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Your duties will be:Designing mechanical parts and assemblies in accordance with project specifications.Producing and maintaining detailed part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.Transforming initial concepts into manufacturable, cost-effective parts.Selecting appropriate components such as sensors, switches, and bearings based on specific requirements and specifications.Creating and maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOMs).Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.Conducting design reviews and providing technical support during the manufacturing process.
