Job Description
The Investment Analyst role supports the real estate investment function of Brennan Investment Group, assisting in the discovery, underwriting, and organization of various pending property acquisitions within assigned regions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the assigned regional Market Officer(s) by evaluating investment opportunities, conducting market research, and preparing financial models
- Assist in the underwriting of new acquisitions and dispositions, including ARGUS and Excel modeling
- Prepare Investment Memorandums for new acquisitions, working with the deal team to gather market intel and comp support
- Review property financials and operating statements to verify accuracy
- Research property taxes and compare them to underwriting projections
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a commercial real estate or private equity firm
- A strong academic background in finance, real estate, or economics, with a concentration in finance and/or real estate highly preferred
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with fluency and hands-on experience in Argus Enterprise and advanced Excel modeling
- Solid grasp of real estate investment concepts, including cap rates and NOI
