Our client is looking for an Assistant Controller to report to the Vice President of Finance. This role has the potential to move to a Global Corporate Controller title shortly based on performance. Our client is looking for someone who can work in a hybrid environment and travel to the office during the week. The role will have oversight over 4-5 direct reports, and have responsibilities associated with global consolidation, accounts payable, revenue, payroll, and other general ledger support. In addition, this role will partner with the Vice President of Finance to build and execute on a world-class financial close and reporting process, with the internal control infrastructure and process to mirror a global public company.
Strategic/Growth Initiatives:
· Develop and elevate the finance and accounting foundation with appropriate people, systems, processes and controls that will drive business growth efficiently over the next 5 years.
· Strengthen the accounting and financial reporting capabilities to support rapid growth and expansion globally
· Drive complex accounting processes such as Revenue Recognition, Capital Leasing, Stock-Based Comp, and Transfer Pricing to name a few.
· Drive internal process improvements; help to measure and assess performance of the global accounting and finance organization and work to identify and implement opportunities to eliminate, standardize, simplify and automate accounting-related tasks.
· Work cross-functionally with the procurement, operations and international teams to improve accounting processes and reporting to ensure efficient and accurate flow of information between teams.
· Contribute to maximizing efficiencies associated with recent NetSuite, ADP and Coupa implementations.
Accounting:
· Execute the global consolidated month-end/quarter-end/year-end close at a public company pace.
· Oversight on aspects of accounting including global consolidation, international finance support, accounts payable, payroll, revenue and other general ledger accounting needs, internal control design and financial reporting.
· Compilation and review of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
· Develop and maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and working procedures.
· Drive the implementation of accounting policies and financial procedures.
· Provide administrator support over ERP and other financial system needs.
M&A:
· Assist with pre and post-acquisition integration processes, including onboarding new acquisitions into the global consolidation, along with other core financial processes.
About You:
· 8 years of responsibility and execution within a global finance or accounting function, ideally with global companies having demonstrated success as an accountant, financial professional, Assistant Controller, or Director of Accounting in a public or global private company organization
· Experience consolidating international financial results with organic and inorganic growth
· Experience (both technical and operational) with complex technical accounting.
· Experience in NetSuite or similar ERP platform
· CPA license required
· Ideally, but not required, experience with SEC public reporting requirements, experienced with complex accounting and implementations.
· Ideally, but not required, public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or large National Firm
· Detail-oriented, analytical and metrics-driven leveraging data to support business decisions

Salary : $190,000 - $220,000
