What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at Brenntag Lubricants, LLC?
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with sales, customer service and operations to ensure full understanding of inventory needs.
- Run reports to check inventory levels, place orders based on needs, and coordinate with sales.
- Place orders and enter order into the BUS system. Verify product cost, shipping cost and coordinate delivery date. If product increases in price the Purchasing Agent should shop price.
- Ensure accuracy of vendor invoices by verifying pricing with documentation for each order.
- Ensure SDS information is received on new products.
- Call preferred carriers to arrange for delivery when necessary.
- Notify customer service of pricing and delivery on non-stock products before quoting pricing and delivery date.
- Customer service will advise if the product is authorized to order.
- Partner with customer service representatives to resolve supply issues.
- Communicate with customer service and sales regarding supply or vendor/supply issues.
- Notify customer service of any backorders and follow up to confirm ship date on longer lead items.
- Assist management in reviewing inventory levels and determination of optimal supply options.
- Work with management to coordinate inbound purchases to minimize supply costs.
- Elevate supply issues when appropriate to assist in the resolution of sourcing issues.
- Assist major account/branch services representative with coordination of custom manufacturing orders and branch replenishment.
- Update BUS with custom manufacturing batch production data to support materials management director.
- Observe, follow and enforce all Brenntag Policies and Procedures.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and a minimum of 3 years related work experience; or a combination of education and relative work experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Possess a high level of skill with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Thorough working knowledge of the BUS operating system.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
