Warehouse Operator - 1st Shift
Our team in Westbrook currently has an opening for a Warehouse Operator - 1st Shift
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load packaged products for customer delivery that commonly include:
- Small cased goods (lifting 12-15 lbs)
- Large cased goods (lifting up to 60 lbs)
- 5 gallon pails (lifting up to 40 lbs)
- 55 gallon drums (tilting/rolling onto pallets for forklift/pallet jack)
- IBC bulk containers (forklift/pallet jack)
- Unload packaged and palletized goods from inbound purchase orders and put away in correct bin locations.
- Load and unload warehouse transfers.
- Receive purchase orders into:
- PO management application
- Visual Supplier database
- Ship customer orders in Visual Supplier
- This job will require standing, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling
- Lifting up to 50 pounds maybe required
- Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years related experience in a Warehouse
- One year experience with using a forklift
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in distribution, chemical distribution Preferred
- Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff including upper management.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish and draw valid conclusions.
- No lodging provided (Must live within 50 miles of location- mileage can vary based on position)
