Your Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Directs and coordinates activities of the Compressed Gas department in processing or manufacturing products, applying knowledge of production methods, processes, department layout, and equipment production capabilities of the Chlorine department.
- Review orders and formulation sheets to ascertain product data, such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for blending products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, equipment capabilities, and labor requirements.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinates blending activities to insure that production and quality of products meet specifications.
- Review production and production reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to insure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Inspects equipment to insure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Develop or revise operational and work practices and observe subordinates to insure compliance with standards.
- Initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
- Insures proper training has been conducted for subordinates.
- Sets and maintains inventory levels. 11. Housekeeping in Compressed Gas area. Quality Descriptions
- Responsible for training of all employees in area in operating procedures.
- Responsible for Quality of packaging in area.
- Responsible for scheduling of production within the area.
- Overall responsibility for area housekeeping.
- Responsibility and authority for requisition and approval of chemicals to meet customer requirements and inventory needs.
- Authority to shut down process or control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Responsible for stock assessments of Compressed Gas area.
- Responsibility to initiate corrective or preventive action regarding customer complaints, non-conforming product, process, and/or quality system.
- Responsibility for maintaining formulation sheets and ensuring that all revisions are acknowledged.
- Responsibility for identifying and recording any problems related to the product, process, and quality system in this area.
- Verify implementation of solutions.
Your Profile
Education and Experience:
- Ability to maintain a good safety and attendance record.
- Thorough understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel in meeting customer needs.
- Knowledge of forklift operation, with certification.
- Skills associated with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of D. O. T. regulations.
- Good math, record keeping, and organization skills.
- Computer skills sufficient to efficiently perform the job requirements.
- Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures pertinent to the Compressed Gas Department.
- Ability to understand and comply with the responsibilities of the job as outlined in the Job description.
- Ability to understand and carry out process descriptions applicable to the job.
- Willingness to accept overtime (both scheduled and impromptu), to be subject to and available for call-in, and to work
- other shifts as needed to meet customer needs.
