Brenntag TA Team
- Analyze and approve incoming bulk materials shipped in railcars and tankers and record pertinent information.
- Analyze and approve materials during production stages for process control and record pertinent information.
- Analyze and approve out-going materials for final analysis, lot certification, and record pertinent information.
- Record requests and generate COAs and route copies to proper parties for distribution and maintain files for Laboratory records.
- Calibrate and inspect equipment and record pertinent information.
- Maintain control of retention samples for storage and disposal.
- Maintain control charts per customer specifications and as required by formulation sheets.
- Request reagents from R&D, prepare solutions, and standardize reagents for routing lab analyses.
- Participate in monthly safety inspections and safety meetings.
- Operation of Neutralization Pre-Treatment facility and record pertinent information.
- Assist in hazardous waste functions.
- Assist customer inquiries and provide technical support to all production areas.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Acts as a resource for implementing solutions during problem solving, process adjustments, and has authority to respond to out-of-control situations and shut down processes to maintain quality.
- Provide technical support to all departments to achieve target values and verity that materials meet customer specifications.
- Participate in review of non-conforming materials.
- Has ability to initiate Quality Improvement Reports (QIRs) and Customer Complaint Forms.
Education and Experience:
- Skills commensurate with minimum of two-year Associate Degree or equivalent (inclusive of General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, and College Algebra).
- Thorough understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel in meeting customer needs.
- Computer skills sufficient to efficiently perform the job requirements.
- Working knowledge of statistical process control: Calculation and interpretation.
- Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures pertinent to the operation of the Quality Control department.
- Ability to understand and comply with the responsibilities of the job as outlined in the Job description.
- Ability to understand and carry out process descriptions and test procedures applicable to the job.
- Willingness to accept overtime (both scheduled and impromptu), be subject to and available for call-in, and to work other shifts as needed to meet customer needs.
