Job Description:
- Develop and implement quality assurance systems and processes for suppliers.
- Conduct audits and assessments of supplier operations to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Manage supplier quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory trends and changes in regulations and initiate communication processes to ensure compliance. Update procedure and policies accordingly.
- Prepare and review regulatory submissions and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and address their queries.
- Ensure compliance with food product regulations across all Americas, with the ability to learn new regulations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met. For instance: Approve regulatory status of novel new products from producers, confirm all concept demos follow approved label claims and messaging, approve marketing material, as/when needed.
- Ensure complex regulatory issues are resolved quickly.
- Maintain supplier documentation, records, regulatory files and documentation for all products.
- Lead and manage the Customer Regulatory and Supplier Compliance teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Food Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in supplier quality management and regulatory affairs, with specific expertise in food regulatory affairs.
- Experience in introducing new products and managing registrations.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines, particularly in the food industry.
- Knowledge of food regulations across all Americas, or the ability to learn new regulations.
- Proven track record in managing regulatory submissions and successful product approvals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
