Brenntag TA Team
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing and directing production personnel in the day’s workload including railcar unloading, packaging, blending, and tanker loading.
- Supervise production personnel and monitor work practices to ensure that work is safe, efficient, and accurate.
- Back up Facility Supervisor in certain duties when they are absent.
- Works with Facility Supervisor to ensure compliance to applicable company policies and government regulations. This may
- include accident/incident investigations, hiring and termination decisions, and environmental, health, safety and quality issues.
- Reinforce a strong safety culture at the site.
- Involved in advancing operating procedures or process improvement projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree from a two-year college or university or a minimum of 3 years related work experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- 3 years previous Supervisory experience preferred.
- Chemical manufacturing or distribution industry a plus.
- Comfortably and confidently uses a computer and specialized software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task – Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration.
- Communication skills – Reads, writes and speaks fluent English, using appropriate grammar, style and vocabulary. Correctly spells commonly used English words and job specific terms. Demonstrates exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
