This opening is for a dynamic UR COORDINATOR Opportunity- FULL TIME ((DAY SHIFT) (LPN/RN)
As a UR Coordinator, you manage admissions and all Utilization Review (UR) activities. Your responsibilities include performing Prior Authorizations, conducting Concurrent Reviews, arranging Peer to Peer reviews when necessary, coordinating with the Treatment Team on discharge dates, entering 317s into LTTS and monitoring them until they are confirmed in your facility, and appealing any denials. You proactively monitor the utilization of a continuum of services to optimize reimbursement for Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare. Additionally, you ensure adherence to the hospital's utilization review plan to make effective and efficient use of hospital services and monitor the appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended hospital stays.

Qualifications:
Minimum: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed as a professional nurse in Mississippi.
Preferred: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing with one year experience in psychiatric setting. Currently licensed as a professional nurse in Mississippi.
