Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services
The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Rehabilitation Services (DOR) in overseeing the rehab department. This position is essential in ensuring that the highest quality of rehabilitation services is delivered in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and the standards set by Eden Healthcare. The Assistant Director will be responsible for liaising with patients, families, and support departments to effectively plan for patient needs, ensuring that all services are tailored to meet individual requirements. In this role, the Assistant Director will also be expected to maintain professional relationships with all associates and vendors, uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information, and adhere to the company's Code of Conduct. The position requires a proactive approach to implementing and interpreting departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The Assistant Director will also fulfill core competencies of their licensed position, providing clinical oversight and ensuring compliance with rehabilitation practice standards. They will direct the growth and maintenance of rehabilitation programs and will function as a staff therapist as needed. This position demands excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude towards patients, and the ability to communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team. The Assistant Director must also demonstrate dependability, regular attendance, and the ability to perform various physical tasks throughout the working hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Rehabilitation Services in directing the rehab departments of physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
- Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to adequately plan for patient needs.
- Direct the growth, development, and maintenance of rehab programs.
- Function as a staff therapist as caseload requires.
- Maintain appropriate staffing patterns as clinically indicated.
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
- Assume the duties of the DOR in their absence.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards residenst and their families..
