What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Education Instructor position at Brentwood School?
Brentwood School, one of Gainesville's most trusted private schools, is looking for experienced, nurturing elementary teachers to join our staff for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach a class of students the core subjects (math, reading, language arts, spelling, social studies, and science).
- Lead teachers plan, prepare and deliver a developmentally appropriate and creatively engaging grade level program.
- Provide active and engaging hands-on experiences as part of the curriculum.
- Assess and document each student’s progress both formally and informally and provide regular feedback to students and their parents.
- Work as a team with a full-time assistant teacher.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Elementary Education
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a teacher in similar position preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of various learning styles and differentiated instruction
- The ability to work positively and professionally with students, parents and faculty
