We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Engineer at our 621 Brentwood Drive facility.
Hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
Responsible for executing and leading all Facilities and Industrial Engineering projects in the North America region. Act in accordance with Corporate Facilities Engineering Management Strategies performing analysis to support evaluation and planning for potential facilities acquisition and asset replacement, followed by the appropriate implementation and commissioning of new equipment.
Responsibilities will include interfacing with multiple and diverse types of contractors and the Maintenance Department to provide support and management of Facility systems and equipment. Aid in the resolution of processing and equipment problems and participate in continuous improvement projects. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities
- Propose plans for Management regarding new facilities (design, location) and/or systems equipment installation, start up and execute new equipment validation (IQ/OQ – Installation and Operational Qualification).
- Execute strategies that lead to operational efficiency and improved performance
- Implement and monitor facilities systems standardization for operation and maintenance, such as APM (Advanced Plant Maintenance), BMS (Building Automation System) or IIOT (Industrial internet of things)
- Plan and coordinate resources across plants
- Execute Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) and Implement Energy Efficiency Strategies developed by Facilities Engineering Manager.
- Maintain and update facility layouts and work with other engineering disciplines to optimize workflow and machine throughput.
- Provide engineering and technical support to facilities leadership.
- Develop procedures for proper maintenance and operation of process equipment according to engineering principals and safety/government regulations.
- Direct maintenance department and coordinate requirements for maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.
- Maintain contractual arrangements for plant utility maintenance services (i.e. air compressors, HVAC units, security system, etc.) and coordinate these service activities with production activity.
- Scope: 621 Brentwood Drive (main office), 500 Spring Ridge Drive, 825 Morgantown Road, Lebanon, Martinsburg, Hope, Tijuana, and future facilities in the North America region.
- Travel: Employee must be able to travel 25-50% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- 10 years of extensive experience with industrial engineering and facility projects (expansions, new site commissioning, site decommissioning, new machine installs, etc.).
- Experience in the thermoforming manufacturing process desired.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or managers and employees of an organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry. Experience with statistical analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Experience with CAD software (i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and Microsoft Office products.
