Hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
The Key Account Specialist (KAS) will have a full-time account management role to work in conjunction with the sales team and other staff of the organization to facilitate the smooth running of the company’s customer requests. The primary focus is to create long-term, trusting relationships with assigned key accounts. KAS will be responsible for building quotes and complex order entry (regular and blanket orders). Must thoroughly enjoy meeting and talking with people and developing business relationships. You will provide advice, recommendations and compelling quotations to customers and follow up along with following up on opportunities until closure. Additionally, the KAS will work directly with our Business Development team to strengthen relationships with assigned key accounts.

Additionally, the KAS will work directly with our Business Development team to strengthen relationships with assigned key accounts.
Essential Responsibilities
- Understand the form, fit and function of the Cooling Tower product line.
- Acquire an understanding of all functions necessary to successfully initiate, report and manage specific projects – Domestic/international order entry, process of change orders, expediting, issue resolution.
- Effectively solve problems within the limits of order management authority with minimal support
- Process change orders which may include, dates, shipping terms, quantities, notes, etc.
- Interact with manufacturing and sales in developing solutions to production and lead time issues. Must be able to understand the needs and potential problems of each group.
- Receive and process all requests for assigned key accounts, while effectively using our CRM system
- Be proficient with Syteline order entry and customer service modules.
- Organize and execute bi-weekly customer account meetings with customers to maintain the sales pipeline. Obtain status reports on outstanding quotations, dates to project award, competitive situations, and projects won/lost by the customer.
- Communicate effectively with the Sr. Sales Operations Manager, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are met
- Act as a subject matter expert for the Customer Account Team on ship schedules and blanket orders.
- Provide cut sheets, literature, and technical support to key accounts.
- Act as a conduit between customer and the plants to meet the needs of both.
- Meet agreed upon deadlines with both internal and external customers.
- Effectively document all work/files that need to be accessible to teammates and other groups at Brentwood (like finance or engineering).
- Work with other internal Brentwood teams as applicable and assist where necessary to find solutions to issues that arise.
- Process RMAs for review.
- Provide assistance to the CAC team with order entry.
- Provide outside sales assistance as needed in the form of customer site visits with the aid of a supervisor, Engineering or Sales Rep. This may include trade shows and other functions.
- Understand and comply with the sales system in place.
- In the event of short staff/increased workload, service/assistance to be provided as necessary.
- Associates Degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Customer Service or Account Management
- Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and logic skills.
- Strong computer skills – using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
- Skilled proactive communicator, oral and written.
- Proficient in shipping terms, application, and overall freight topics
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Thoroughly enjoys meeting people and developing business relationships.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
