What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant (Trust & Estates) position at Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C.?
Bressler, Amery & Ross is a law firm with over 100 lawyers offering a broad range of legal services. Based in the firm’s New Jersey office, the Legal Assistant will be assigned to support principals / attorneys in the tax, trusts, & estates practice group. Work hours are 9 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The schedule for this position is 4 days in office and 1 remote day.
Primary tasks include :
- Organize case files and documents.
- Manage attorney calendars; schedule meetings and appointments.
- Assist with the preparation and revision of estate planning and probate documents (petitions, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.).
- Type / draft correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents.
- Input attorney timesheets.
- Electronic and other court filings.
- Heavy Client interaction.
- Serve as witness to will signings.
- Notary Public duties.
- Support other projects as needed.
