Bressler, Amery & Ross, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national presence, seeks an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our team in our Florham Park, New Jersey office.
This position requires a minimum of five years’ experience in probate and estate administration, including preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and probate submissions in both New Jersey and New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base in the trusts & estates (T&E) practice area and a thorough understanding of related administrative and tax concepts.
Hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position provides a hybrid working schedule for 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estate and gift tax returns (Federal Form 706, Form 709, and state estate tax returns)
- Assist with the probate and administration of estates in New York and New Jersey, including preparing probate documents and Surrogate’s Court filings.
- Manage estate administration tasks, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution.
- Prepare trust accountings, inventories, and fiduciary income tax filings.
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, and financial institutions to facilitate estate and trust administration.
- Maintain and organize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- A minimum of five years’ experience with a focus on estate and gift tax return preparation.
- The ability to manage the estate administration process from beginning to end for multiple estates.
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey and New York probate procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with estate and tax software is a plus.
- A minimum of a 4-year college degree and/or paralegal certification is highly preferred.
