Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, has full-time and part-time opportunities for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA's) , on all shifts. Our CNA's work in our Skilled Nursing Facility and our Short Term Rehabilitation Center.

New CNA's can earn up to $25 per hour at Brethren Village, and $26 on weekends (base rate shift differentials), with higher rates for experienced CNA's. For new CNA's, Brethren Village will reimburse your Nurse Aide training costs.

Brethren Village CNA's receive extensive, paid on-the-job training and on-going support and guidance.
Our CNA's enjoy relatively low Resident to CNA ratios, and have the opportunity to establish caring relationships with our Residents.
Brethren Village offers our CNA's competitive pay rates and generous shift differentials ($3.00 extra per hour on the evening shift, $2.00 extra per hour on the night shift, plus $1.00 extra per hour on weekends).
Brethren Village is large enough to offer a variety of work schedules to meet your needs, and to offer advancement opportunities throughout our facilities.
Brethren Village's facilities are clean and well-managed.

Typical Work Schedules

Full-time, benefits-eligible, 37.5 to 40 hours per week : 8 and 12-hour schedules are typically available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week and typically include every other weekend and holiday

Part-time : part-time schedules are typically available on all shifts, including some 4-hour shifts and weekend-only schedules

If you are not currently certified, you may be able to complete a Nurse Aide training program in as little as about 3 weeks. For information, please visit one of the following training providers :

Requirements

Core Requirements :

a high school diploma or G.E.D.

basic computer skills : the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently

the ability to complete online training independently

dependability : ability and willingness to meet attendance standards

attention to safety : ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards

commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect

Additional Requirements for this Position :

a valid PA Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide Certification (CNA)

current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire

the ability and willingness to assist Residents with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, bathing, and bathroom tasks; willingness to provide effective care to Residents with dementia or who are exhibiting challenging behaviors

the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary; to safely push adult Residents in wheelchairs; to safely assist Residents who may begin to fall

the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations

ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
