What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Production Worker position at Brett/Robinson Openings?
- Serves as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests, and other members of the community
- Controls operations of equipment or systems
- Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Inspects and evaluates the quality of products
- Starts washer or drier, and turns valves or levers to regulate and monitor cleaning or drying operations
- Loads or directs other workers to load articles into washer or dry cleaning machine.
- Removes or directs other workers to remove items from washer and into drier
- Cleans machine filters
- Keeps laundry machines, floor, and other equipment clean
- Pre-soaks, sterilizes, scrubs, spot-cleans, and dries contaminated or stained articles, using neutralizer solutions
- Examines and sorts articles to be cleaned into lots, according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique required
- Sorts and counts articles removed from dryer and folds or hangs items for airing out, pickup, or delivery.
- Receives and marks articles for laundry with identifying code number or name, using a marker
- Irons or presses articles pressing machine
- Reports safety hazards
- Attends departmental meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
