Our Surgical Services department incorporates several areas that include pre-op, operating room, and recovery room. The Ideal candidate will have experience in general/ laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries. Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the operating room, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Assist with patient positioning, monitor the patient's condition, and provide emotional support.
- Coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflows.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhere to surgical protocols, and ensure patient safety.
- Document all aspects of the surgical procedure, including patient information, medication administration, and surgical findings.
- Manage the flow of supplies and instruments, ensuring they are available when needed.
- Assess for transfer to the PACU and provide post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN License.
