THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE
$2,130.46 to $2,343.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Rockledge. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work planning, maintaining, coordinating, and analyzing the budget, financial, and accounting functions for the Public Safety Department. Supervision is given to subordinate staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of professional accounting experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. Additional qualifying experience and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
