$21.11 to $23.22 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the building, altering, maintaining and repairing of buildings, drainage structures and/or sidewalks by laying brick and/or stone, tile setting, patch plastering and cement finishing. May supervise a work crew.
REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of experience in performing masonry work in the construction fieldrepairing and constructing new concrete structures such as curbs, gutters, catch basins, inlets, headwalls, and sidewalks. Must have experience in documenting daily work tasks in a work management system, including photo documentation. Must have experience in concrete, block, brick, and asphalt techniques.Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment,a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's licenseand maintain said license during the term of employment.This is heavy physical work that involves exposure to dirt, dust, noise, moving machinery, working in and around traffic, and extreme weather conditions.In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
