Ralph Williams Elementary in Rockledge is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant ESE (Exceptional Student Education) to assist students with disabilities with classroom activities, modifications, transportation, and personal care needs as directed by the teacher. This person is assigned to one or more students with unique needs and may be required to move with students(s) if the school site changes.
This is a full-time, 6.5 hours per day position for 9 months, while school is in session. This position is eligible for full-time benefits.

BEGINNING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees:
Grade 16 $15.95 per hour
Qualifications/Certifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent or special diploma required.
2. Experience in working with children.
3. Experience in working with persons with disabilities.
4. Strong desire to work one-on-one with a student.
5. Valid Florida Driver License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to work effectively with children and teachers. Willingness to learn the unique educational and/or personal needs to assist a student with a disability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
