Brew City Distribution, a craft beer distributor located in Milwaukee, WI has an excellent part- time opportunity in our operations/warehouse department. We are currently looking for a Full-time 1st Shift Warehouse Associate/Order Selector.
Our 1st shift warehouse employees work 5 days a week, Monday – Friday. Monday and Tuesday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with 30 minutes for lunch, Wednesday – Friday 5 AM to 2 PM
This position is a hands-on role that will provide you valuable knowledge and experience in the beverage and distribution industry. This individual is responsible for physically picking cases of beer onto pallets prepared for retail delivery while using a standing pallet truck. Warehouse Associates are developed and mentored to become familiar with the operations within our growing company. We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The successful candidate will possess previous warehouse experience, preferably with forklift operation skills, and be able to lift, move, and place cases of product weighing up to 75 pounds on a repetitive basis and occasionally up to 175 pounds.

- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions: wet, dust, fumes, noisy, extreme hot or cold, and working outside in all types of Wisconsin weather.
- Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and comprehend with verbal and/or written communication to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Possess good visual acuity at various distances with dimensional depth perception and color distinction.
- Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude, also a good decision making capability, and the ability to learn and operate all the necessary equipment safely.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
Responsibilities
- As a member of our warehouse team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of our products to our customers
- Your primary responsibilities will include physically picking cases of beer onto pallets prepared for retail delivery, building mixed pallet orders, and loading and unloading trucks
- Accurately locating and picking beer products for orders
- Building correct pallet orders with picked beer products
- Drive riding pallet jacks and forklifts consistently throughout shift
- We also require our team members to stock the warehouse efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Use and maintain the Brew City Distribution equipment, vehicles, and Brew City Distribution building in a neat and orderly condition
- Operate company equipment safely and according to company guidelines
- Always safeguard company property under your control by following all security procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Empty all waste receptacles in and around the Warehouse daily
- Sweep Warehouse daily
- Compact all plastic and cardboard daily
- General maintenance on the building and grounds when needed
- Reports for work every day on time dressed with steel-toed shoes
- Follows all equipment /maintenance guidelines and reports all equipment service problems immediately
- Follow all other company policies not specifically outlined in this job description at all times
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a fast paced, accuracy dependent environment safely.
- Ability to frequently lift/lower from 5 to 175 pounds; One half-barrel weighs approximately 175 pounds, and you must be able to lift/lower that weight from at least 3 feet high/chest level and from that level to the ground on a frequent basis. The maximum weight of a case of product is 45 pounds, and you must be able to lift and stack cases on a constant basis.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, bend, twist, grasp, work at heights, reach to various levels, with adequate sense of balance while working/using company equipment or products

- Performing General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance on the building and grounds as needed
