Midsize law firm in Austin seeking an Associate Attorney / Prosecutor to join their team in Austin, TX!
Job Description:
- Midsize Law Firm seeking a full-time attorney to work in its municipal and local government practice in its Austin office. Attorneys directly interface with the client, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and attend meetings of the governing body.
- We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar to fill a full-time position. The successful candidate will practice primarily as a Municipal Court Prosecutor.
- The Prosecution Section is responsible for the criminal prosecution of Class C misdemeanors and violations of municipal ordinances. Class C misdemeanors include traffic violations, assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and theft, among others. Additional proceedings include administrative adjudications in the hearing officer’s court, parking appeals, stormwater proceedings, and bond forfeitures.
Other Details:
- Billable Hour Requirement: 1800 annually
- Health Insurance with firm contributions to monthly premiums

- Onsite schedule to begin with, will gain remote flexibility

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or similar setting
- Prosecution experience required
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
