Brewer Morris is currently working with a Top 300 Public Accounting firm in Anaheim, CA that is actively seeking to hire a Generalist Experienced Tax Manager. The CPA firm is an 80 employee full-service accounting firm with $18M in Net Revenue. The Tax Manager reports directly to the partner or director responsible for the engagement. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the right individual to develop judgment and breadth of experience needed to become a Senior Manager. Responsibilities:
- Tax Manager/CPA will review federal, multi-state, international, corporate (consolidated and separate), tax provision (ASC740), partnership, individual returns, not-for-profit, estate and trust, and others as required.
- Work with clients across all service industries (ag, construction, real estate, high net worth individuals etc..).
- Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
- Providing innovative tax planning and review of complex income tax return
- Manage and coordinate tax audits, tax provisions, and tax compliance process
- Improve the firm’s processes by developing or implementing best practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Public Accounting
- Must possess BA degree in Accounting
- Valid CPA License
- Strong technical tax review and preparation skills
- Tax Research abilities
- Must have excellent computer skills (QuickBooks & Microsoft office programs)
- CCH Axcess and Engagement Experience
- Strong general accounting background
- Willing to work 100% in office Anaheim, CA to start then has the option for Hybrid schedule 2 days from home 3 in office after 6 months or so.
