Director of Summer Programs

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Summer Programs is responsible for the execution of all aspects of Brewsters summer programs. The Director is responsible for ensuring the learning, development, and safety of all students enrolled in summer programs. The Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with various constituencies across campus including the Chief Technology and Operations Officer, Director of Dining, Facilities Manager, Housekeeping supervisor, and the nursing staff.

Planning and Analysis

• Plan for and provide leadership for all summer events.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations needs of each program, including scheduling facilities and resources, and planning and coordinating meals and housing.
• Responsible for all events hosted by external and internal constituencies on Brewster property.
• Develop and market new programs, while maintaining current programs
• Analyze enrollment and risk and the subsequent financial impact of managing for both.
• Set targets and benchmarks for the next summer and establish 3-year milestones for the advancement of summer programs

Financial Responsibility

• Develop a plan that optimizes the returns to Brewster and generates as much school-related revenue as possible, while controlling expenditures
• Responsible for the establishment and collection of all fees associated with summer programs and events.
• Responsible for the overall budget including expenditures and revenue, marketing, meals, salaries, travel, supplies, equipment, and expenses related to housing and activities.

Operational

• Ensure all summer students have positive experiences, and meet established outcomes, including respect and ownership within a diverse community.
• In collaboration with the CFO, execute contracts with outside vendors
• Responsible for the management of events held on Brewster property (weddings, facility rentals, etc)
• In collaboration with the HR department responsible for the hiring of all summer personnel, ensuring all legal requirements for hires are met including background checks, I-9, and tax forms.
• Supervision of all summer program staff (Teaching Assistants, Deans, support staff, etc)
• Responsible for housing and meals for all summer personnel, and returning Brewster facilities in good condition at the end of the summer.

• Flexibility as summer hours may include weekends and evenings as needed.

This is a full-time, 12-month position, salaried/exempt position, eligible for all full-time benefits.
