Position Purpose |
Plan, coordinate, promote and implement the activities program for independent living residents focusing on the five aspects of wellness: intellectual, social, physical, emotional and spiritual. |
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Develop, plan and organize the monthly activities calendar for independent living residents including programs, classes, trips, and games while working as part of the Resident Services team.
Oversee the daily activities schedule updating the schedule as needed.
Plan and coordinate special events by working with other departments as needed.
Coordinate reservations for on-campus and off-campus activities including making calendar and bus reservations, securing catering, purchasing tickets and confirming all details before each event.
Communicate and share monthly calendar and activity information with Director of Resident Services for publication in the monthly newsletter the Brewster News as well as updating CATIE (Brewster’s web-based communication tool).
Manage activity expenses including posting billing for tickets and trips and uploading receipts/invoices for approval by Director of Resident Services.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, good computer skills and ability to learn web-based tool CATIE, outgoing and enthusiastic personality, ability to work well with a variety of residents, vendors and staff. Audio visual knowledge or willingness to learn. |
