What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Programming Staff position at Brewster Public Library?
The Brewster Public Library is seeking an energetic and creative part-time Programming Assistant to help develop and implement programs for patrons of all ages. The Programming Assistant will also assist with circulation duties and community outreach.
Duties:
·Leads programs for youths, adults, and families as assigned by the Head of Youth Services.
· Assists with outreach to local daycares, preschools, schools, and other community organizations.
· Records and tracks program attendance.
· May work the circulation desk, checking library materials out to patrons.
· Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
· Evidence of strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
· Experience working with children in a group setting (paid or volunteer).
· Scheduling flexibility.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualification:
· Experience working in a library or public service setting.
· Fluency in Spanish
Compensation and Benefits
· Paid time off after 6 months of employment.
