Position is hybrid if living in the DMV, remote if not living in the DMV.
We are currently seeking a seasoned communications professional for the position of Healthcare Director.
Our ideal new team member would have:
- 10-12 years of experience including agency (required) with focus on healthcare, pharmaceuticals/medical device, digital health, diagnostics or patient advocacy communications. Experience in health equity and reaching underserved populations is a plus.
Proven track record and ability to:
- Partner with agency leadership to develop and manage client engagements including planning, creative concepts, day to day execution, evaluation, staffing, budgets and timelines
- Distill complex scientific data into actionable messages for key audiences (HCPs, media, influencers, patients/caregivers)
- Write and promote scientific data releases around clinical studies, guidelines and FDA/EMEA/CMS milestones
- Offer clients a deep understanding of overall healthcare media, patient advocacy and influencer landscape
- Leverage key healthcare milestones including presentations at medical congresses/scientific sessions and peer-review journal publications to trade and national consumer media
- Create healthcare focused patient education campaigns as well as initiatives focused on reaching healthcare providers to influence clinical decision making and referral pathways
- Showcase understanding of the healthcare landscape and regulations to inform social media content and digital activations including branded and unbranded initiatives, guidelines for pre-approved products and proper use of disclosures
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills including content development such as bylines, Op/Eds, video scripts, PSAs
- Manage client programs, timelines, team deliverables, budgets and quarterly planning to exceed client expectations and goals.
