Job Title: Competitive Dance Coach (Ages 5 )

Overview:We’re looking for a dynamic, well-organized, and technically trained Competitive Dance Coach to join our passionate team! This role is perfect for someone who values excellence and discipline in dance but understands the importance of preserving the joy and wonder of childhood. Our ideal coach will challenge students to reach their fullest potential—mentally, physically, and emotionally—while fostering a supportive, age-appropriate, and confidence-building environment.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and choreograph competitive routines in styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, and Hip Hop for dancers ages 5 and up.
- Plan and lead weekly rehearsals that are structured, productive, and inspiring.
- Cultivate a positive team culture that values hard work, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Prepare dancers for local, regional, and national competitions, ensuring both technical excellence and expressive performance.
- Communicate regularly with parents and studio leadership about progress, goals, and expectations.
- Attend competitions, workshops, and in-studio events as needed.
- Support the overall vision and values of our studio, which include leadership, character, and community.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical training and teaching background in competitive dance.
- Proven experience working with children ages 5 and up.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for mentoring young dancers with a “push to greatness, not pressure to perfection” approach.
- Ability to adapt teaching style to various learning needs and personalities.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
