Position Summary
The Electrical Service Technician is responsible for traveling within Central Indiana to customer locations for troubleshooting issues with electrical components and wiring as well as completing electrical installations per service work order.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced commercial and industrial electrical components and wiring.
Lead and complete small projects, including remodels, tenant finishes, and electrical upgrades.
Obtain vendor pricing for necessary repair parts.
Submit quote details and Service Work Orders promptly through our Service Field App.
Accurately enter equipment, site, material, and customer information into our Service Field App.
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on-site.
Maintain clear communication with Dispatch and Service Support teams.
Assist teammates with diagnosing and repairing electrical issues both in-person and remotely.
Perform various related duties as assigned by Dispatch and Management.
Participate in the 24-hour emergency service on-call rotation.
Requirements
5 years of commercial and / or industrial electrical service experience
Knowledge of electrical systems
Knowledge of building materials, tools, and machines
Ability to read blueprints and specifications for buildings
Must maintain a neat appearance and take pride in quality work
Requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be safety conscious
Must be drug free and have a clear current driving record with valid license
Must provide own basic hand tools and meters
Must be available for after-hours emergency on-call rotation
Physical Demands
The position requires standing, bending, reaching, lifting a majority of the workday
Lift 50 pounds
Climb tall ladders
Working on flat and / or slightly sloped roofs
Working from scaffolding and lifts
Drive a company vehicle (service van)
Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and weather conditions
Other manual labor as required.
