Bri-Steel Manufacturing is a leading seamless steel pipe manufacturer that utilizes advanced Induction Heating technology to expand the diameter of tubes to final specifications. As we expand our operations to Enid, Oklahoma, we are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Quality Coordinator to join our dynamic team and support our commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet both industry standards and client requirements.
Role Overview:
The Quality Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the technical integrity of our products through thorough inspections, documentation, and data analysis. This position will also assist in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS) and support various teams with troubleshooting, calibrations, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Inspections & Documentation: Conduct raw material inspections, final product inspections, and manage product markings. Ensure products meet applicable industry specifications and client requirements by reviewing production documents and generating mill test reports.
- Quality Management System (QMS): Assist with maintaining certifications (API Q1, ISO 9001) and guide staff through the system by conducting training, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Non-Conformance Management: Support the identification and disposition of non-conforming products, ensuring timely resolutions and adherence to corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in and support ongoing improvement initiatives, both within the quality department and across the organization.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with sales staff to provide technical sales support to clients and internal teams, addressing technical inquiries within the scope of your expertise.
- Safety & Workplace Culture: Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Science or Engineering (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in math, computer skills, and MS Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with initiative
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
