Bria Hammel Interiors (BHI) are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. Reporting to the Design Director and CEO, this role is critical to the success of our client projects and retail operations. The Expeditor will manage the ordering, processing, and tracking of all products, ensuring timely delivery and seamless communication with vendors, shipping companies, and receiving warehouses.
This position also supports customer service efforts for BHI, assisting in resolving issues and providing updates to ensure a positive client experience. Weekly reports to the management team will keep leadership informed of order statuses and any potential challenges.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, and align with our company’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This position will be part time averaging approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DESIGN:
- Source warehouses and vendors for out of state projects
- Place all orders for design projects
- Track all orders for design projects; check in all packages.
- Create and update client order tracker
- Send updated client order tracker on a weekly basis to design team
- Communicate order information, damage claims
- Create formal claims for damaged items and arrange for repair or replacement;
- monitor until completion
- Schedule delivery and installation with Designer and Receiver
- Travel for installations as needed
- Attend meetings with Design Team to update information
- Manage product receipt process with accounting team.
CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGEMENT:
- Work closely with delivery warehouse on any freight claims that may arise. This includes correspondence between warehouse and manufacturer, working on coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Create formal claims for damaged items and arrange for repair or replacement; monitor until completion
- Address and manage all product performance issues. Work with clients and vendors to find the best solution for everyone and expedite the claim.
- Update Lead Designers on customer service issues as they arise.
- Update customers on status of customer service issue.
- Report expected Vendor credit amounts to Accounting Representative
GENERAL:
- Submit Friday reports to Design Director and CEO every Friday.
- Be punctual in attendance and dependable in performance
- Maintain a neat, business like appearance
- Represent the Company in a professional manner
- Work closely as a team with everyone in the office.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrate solid knowledge of customer service and have experience in the field.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Familiarity with interior design field to understand how product ships and delivers for residential projects.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar software for tracking orders and managing vendor communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word for creating and managing documentation.
- Strong skills in Excel, including maintaining spreadsheets and tracking order details.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, shipping companies, and receiving warehouses.
- A proactive problem-solver with a customer-focused mindset.
