Responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist
- As a respiratory therapist, you will treat residents with temporary or chronic respiratory conditions using various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- You will conduct diagnostic tests to determine the respiratory conditions of your residents and create individualized treatment plans to address their specific needs.
- You will maintain accurate records of resident care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- You will also educate residents and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements for Becoming a Respiratory Therapist at BRIA
- You must be a current and valid RRT for the State of Illinois.
- You should have knowledge of physiology and the respiratory system to effectively assess and manage respiratory conditions.
- Empathy and compassion are essential qualities for this role, as you will work closely with residents who may be experiencing anxiety, pain, or discomfort related to their respiratory condition.
- A minimum of one year experience in long-term care is preferred, but not required.
Compensation Details
The hourly wage for this position is $40-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
