Data Scientist – Digital & Social Media Analytics

About the Role
We are seeking Data Scientists – to uncover powerful insights that drive strategic marketing and communications initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of digital and social media analytics, with the ability to track and analyze conversations across all social platforms, blogs, forums, and digital media to identify key trends, sentiment, and audience behaviors.
Important to be able to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform high-impact campaigns, enhance brand positioning, and shape storytelling strategies. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strategic, and passionate about leveraging data to drive engagement and results.
Key Responsibilities
- Track, collect, and analyze data across social media platforms, blogs, forums, and digital channels to identify trends, sentiment, and emerging conversations.
- Develop and implement methodologies to measure brand perception, audience engagement, and competitive analysis.
- Use machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and AI-driven analytics to extract meaningful insights from vast digital conversations.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams to turn data-driven insights into compelling strategies.
- Identify influencers, emerging topics, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
- Present findings through clear, compelling reports for executives and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Formal education in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital and social media analytics, audience research, or data-driven marketing.
- Expertise in social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Cision, Meltwater, Sprinklr, etc.) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Twitter/X Analytics).
- Experience with machine learning, NLP, and AI-driven analytics is a plus.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with creative and strategic teams.
