Seasonal Team Member

Seasonal landscape positions are available with Brian-Kyles from April 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025. The duties include landscaping and maintaining the grounds of properties using hand or power tools and equipment. Workers will perform a variety of tasks, which may include: - Laying sod - Mowing and trimming lawns - Planting and watering flowers and shrubs - Fertilizing and digging - Raking and installing sprinklers - Installing mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units Additional responsibilities include: - Gathering and removing litter - Using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers, and axes - Operating vehicles and powered equipment, including mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, and sod cutters - Watering lawns, trees, and plants with portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans - Pruning or trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges using shears, pruners, or chainsaws - Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, and edging around flower beds, walks, or walls - Following planned landscaping designs to determine placements for sod, grass, or flowers - Trimming or picking flowers and cleaning flowerbeds - Supporting planted trees with stakes - Planting seeds, bulbs, or shrubs and applying mulch for protection - Mowing or edging lawns with power mowers or edgers - Raking, mulching, and composting leaves - Decorating gardens with stones or plants - Using irrigation methods to manage water consumption and prevent waste - Maintaining sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, and other ground features - Shoveling snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spreading salt in those areas - Maintaining irrigation systems, including winterizing them and preparing them for spring - Cultivating lawns or gardens - Maintaining or repairing tools, equipment, or structures using hand or power tools - Caring for artificial turf fields by removing turf and replacing cushioning pads or disinfecting the turf - Installing rock gardens, ponds, drainage systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment - Maintaining natural turf fields to ensure proper drainage and support for grasses - Advising customers on plant selection or care - Hauling or spreading topsoil and covering seeded soil with straw to hold it in place - Marking design boundaries and painting natural or artificial turf fields - Building forms with team logos or names before events and mixing and pouring cement to form garden borders Workers may be exposed to various weather conditions, noise, and extreme temperatures, and will need to wear common protective safety equipment. Attention to detail, integrity, and thoroughness in completing tasks are essential. Workers should be cooperative, dependable, responsible, and reliable. These are entry-level positions that require supervision. No minimum education or work experience is needed.
