Barista/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while delivering high-quality beverages and exceptional service. You will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization in the café environment. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy interacting with people, this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; notify management when restocking is needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and encourage repeat visits.

Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in cash handling and operating a cash register.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and the food industry is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation.
- Previous experience in sales or food handling is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.50 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
