Job Summary
Briar Place Nursing Center, a skilled nursing facility located in Indian Head Park, Illinois currently has a rare opportunity for an experienced : Activity Director. Must be Certified and have passed the 36 hour Activity Director course.
This position requires the following :
- Certified Activity Director- with 36 hour course certification
- Recent experience as an Activity Director in a healthcare facility
- Should be familiar with the regulations and survey process as it pertains to the Activity Department
- Must know the overall operations of the Activity Department including assessments, documentation, the MDS,staffing, etc.
- Must be able to design monthly Activity Calendars that are appropriate for all levels of residents and that are innovative and creative
- Should have excellent leadership skills and work with the Activity team to assure that compliance is ongoing
- Must be able to work in collaboration with the facility management team and the Administrator
- Must be able to work full time hours including some weekend on manager days as assigned
